Description
A special high performance XJR-S version equipped with the 5.3 litres (5,344 cc) HE V12 engine produced by JaguarSport. The car has a distinctive body kit, special 15" alloy wheels, 235/60R15 Pirelli P600 tyres, a unique suspension system using modified coil springs and Bilstein shocks, a luxurious interior with Connolly Autolux leather along with walnut wood trim, and handling improvements. The first 100 of these cars were named "Celebration Le Mans" to commemorate Jaguar's 1988 win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and were only sold in the UK. This car is number 34. The interior is immaculate with the only wear being scuffing of the piping on the driver's seat as pictured.I imported the car in 2010. There were three owners in the UK, the first being former English cricket captain David Gower. I have the original registration documents for the car and each owner and a full maintenance history (originals). The car was recently recommissioned after a long period in storage and is running perfectly.
It has some existing damage which I am waiting to have repaired. I have been quoted $1,800 for paintless dent removal for 12 dings and an estimate of $4-5K to repair the boot, bumper and spoiler. The PDR dents are not visible in the photos. The spoiler and mirrors have clear coat missing which would be done when repairs effected. Two pin spots of rust on the corners of the back window otherwise rust-free. The vehicle would be valued at well over $60K when the work is done so the price reflects good value for someone who can get the work done elsewhere. The aircon needs a recharge and maybe a machining of the discs. Otherwise mechanically A1.
