Description

A beautiful usable classic car. This car is finished in a very attractive but original Dark Green with a slight metallic flick which almost seems to change colour throughout the day. The bodywork is in exceptional condition with no rust or accident damage and the car presents really well. The immaculate interior is coloured in a factory light tan and the dashboard timber is undamaged. Under the bonnet the engine bay is presented in a very nice condition with everything clean and oil free. The car has travelled 214,000 documented kilometres but you would never know by looking at it.

The car was purchased 11 years ago from the previous owner who is well known in the Victorian Jaguar club. He had the car impeccably maintained and improved by Andrew and Vic Spiteri over a number of years which has all been documented with an extensive file of receipts. In their care it acquired later factory 16-inch alloy wheels, Bilstein shock absorbers and uprated sway bars. Since purchasing the car I have taken over its care and continued to ensure that the car received everything that it needed. In addition to the regular service items this has included fitting a new injection harness made from high temperature silicon wire, removing and cleaning the radiator, improving the air conditioning with a more efficient AC compressor and servicing the injectors and ignition systems. The car runs totally trouble free and is a joy to drive. I would literally not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.

The car is currently registered on non transferrable historic registration (56406H) where it continues to be used regularly on club outings. This car is ready to use and there is nothing that would need to be spent on it to provide a car that you can not only be proud of but also use straight away. This is my uncle’s car and he regrets selling it and we will both be sad to see it go but health and an upcoming change of address have made it less practical for him to continue using. These are an emerging classic which are finally starting to be appreciated for how good a car they are.  « Back
